A Cheyenne Prayer For Peace
Let us know peace.
For as long as the moon shall rise,
For as long as the rivers shall flow,
For as long as the sun shall shine,
For as long as the grass shall grow,
Let us know peace -
(AMEN!)

man without the beasts?
If all the beasts were gone,
men would die from
great loneliness of spirit ..."

October is Breast Cancer
Awareness month!
This does not mean our awareness cannot continue year-round!!!
All of us are touched by breast cancer. Who among you do
not know someone who has suffered breast cancer themselves, or know someone who
has a close friend or loved one who has suffered breast cancer, or lost a close
friend or loved one who has paid the ultimate price of breast cancer?
For more information on breast cancer you can click the pink ribbon above, which
will take you directly to the
National Breast Cancer Foundation and information web site.
PLEASE also do your part to support breast cancer
awareness and research by visiting
The
Breast Cancer Site, where you will find many ways you can help support this
most worthy cause, including secure server for donations, gifts, t-shirts, bags,
jewelry, etc. purchases, as well as links to information and other sites
directly related to breast cancer, its treatment and future cure. This is also
where you can click to help fund mammography for those who are uninsured and
unable to pay for this most critical diagnostic test, so PLEASE take the time to visit
The
Breast Cancer Site NOW and click to help fund mammograms for those in need!
Please also consider book-marking
The
Breast Cancer Site so you can return daily to click for funding free
mammograms for women in need who would otherwise be unable to afford this
invaluable test for breast cancer.
Thanks to my visitors for your generous
donations!

The North Carolina Responsible Animal Owners Alliance is a burgeoning and
fast-growing organization whose mission is to "Become
North Carolina's leading voice for responsible animal ownership and preservation
of the human-animal bond."
The NCRAOA site is an excellent resource for obtaining
information regarding responsible pet ownership, including down-loadable
brochures and flyers, educational
materials, pages on dogs, cats, horses and other pets, press releases,
legislative actions and much, MUCH more!
At first I had considered adding a new area to Ailea's
Place to include the ongoing wars being fought around the world to take away our
rights to own animals, but cannot for the life of me justify doing this when the
resources are already available - and very adequately spoken - at the NCRAOA
site.
Please take a moment to
visit NCRAOA online, and consider the valuable information available
to you there. I've joined them and offered my support - won't you
please at least consider doing the same for yourself and your
animals?
You may click the
NCRAOA image above to visit their site! :-) |

Heart disease used to be a man's disease
but no longer. Heart disease is now the number one killer of women, as well! No
woman can afford to remain ignorant of the signs of heart attack, nor of the
risk factors. Please visit the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women
site, above!

Peace, love,
and goodness to all who enter here.
