One litter I will never, ever forget - NINE puppies! Tri-colors and blue merles.

Five of these pups were blue, four black. Five were boys, four girls, with two girls and two boys black. This picture is included for the awe-factor. It is not often to come across a litter of nine Shelties. Note the photo: These puppies sorted themselves, all the blue on one side, the blacks on the other. Eyes and ears are not yet open... These dawgs can sure be funny sometimes, eh?

You are invited to read An Angel For An Angel - the story of this nine-puppy litter.

Two of the nine puppies in the litter above- We called them Sasha and Cowboy, but when they were sold into the same home in West Virginia they were re-named Sarah and Teddy. Though I have received several photos of these beautiful blue Shelties, I think this one of them, when they were about 6 months old, is my favorite of all. I think Sasha/Sarah has a secret to tell!

Another Taylor puppy, Merlin is special, unexpectedly finding his home in Columbia, South Carolina, as the second Ailea Sheltie in a Sheltie-full home. Merlin has a special story to tell, which you can read on Merlin's Magic Page, and has excelled at everything his Mama put him to. In the image at right, wonderful Merlin is cuddling sweet Hope Kitty Girl.

At left is beautiful girl Chloe, one of two puppies I held onto for a while hoping for show prospects. Chloe had a lovely headpiece and very pretty eye, but lost her head planes and underjaw in a growth spurt at about 4 months that never came back. Chloe was sold into a great home in Columbia, South Carolina, where her main job is to warm her mama's feet. Chloe is spoiled rotten as all Shelties should be.

As fates have it, he didn't turn out, and was sold to a young family in Pennsylvania when he was almost one. Buster Boo Boo was my happy boy for some time, so thank-you, Tina, for taking him into your heart and loving him so!

This is Angel, the runt of the nine-puppy litter, and probably the most vivacious. At the ripe age of five days, Angel went home (flew) with my friend, Nancy (tucked in her sweater), who lives in New Hampshire and already had R2 puppy and Duff.
Angel made Nancy's house a three-Sheltie home.

There's a dramatic tale to tell, of course, about this little girl, so you are invited to read for yourself, An Angel For An Angel.

This is Jax, an Onyx puppy and a most wondermous and handsome young man went to Emerald Valley Shelties. A show prospect, Jax was introduced to Emerald's breeding program but due to unforeseen circumstances  Jax was eventually sold as a pet where he lives, the happy, spoiled boy he deserves to be.

This is Gracie, beautiful Ailea Amazing Grace, CGC, TDI and a more beautiful girl would be hard to find, indeed.

Gracie was one of those puppies that hung around for a bit, waiting patiently for her home. She was sold as a pet to a couple here in North Carolina where she thrives doing some therapy and obedience work.

Gracie was joined by a Sheltie brother, Bud, who came into Gracie's life via Triangle Sheltie Rescue... Haven't you heard? Shelties are like Lay's potato chips - you can't have just one!
