Sheltie Talk by Betty Jo McKinney & Barbara Riesberg. Considered by sheltie breeders and fans to be THE sheltie "bible", Sheltie Talk is definitely a good read, with information about health and care of the sheltie, with demonstrative figures to help in grooming and general care of the sheltie. An invaluable resource for breeders and pet owners alike.

The Sheltie Guide by Jean D. Simmonds. An illustrated view and explanation of the sheltie standard, written by a long-time sheltie breeder, exhibitor and judge. A must have for the sheltie breeder!

The New Complete Shetland Sheepdog by Maxwell Riddle. An informative book with extensive information on the sheltie, its heritage, care, health and training.

The Book Of The Shetland Sheepdog by Anna Katherine Nicholas. A huge volume filled with pictures, and includes extensive coverage of the history of the sheltie in America including pedigrees of the early imports, and covering the notable shelties in the history of the breed. An awesome addition to anyone's sheltie library.

The Shetland Sheepdog In America by Charlotte Clem McGowan. Another of many informative books on the sheltie with breed information, history, care, health and training tips, by another long-time sheltie breeder/exhibitor/judge.

The Proper Care Of The Shetland Sheepdog by Sandy Ganz & Rick Thompson. Eloquent presentation of caring for your sheltie, written by two long-time sheltie enthusiasts. Great information for beginning sheltie people!

The Shetland Sheepdog At Work by Joanne Carriera. Includes information on training and competing with your sheltie in one of the many venues - conformation, herding, etc.
