Quinn was out of the last Onyx litter that was co-bred with Emerald Valley. I was to have received second pick puppy from the litter, but as circumstances panned out all puppies were sold as pets but this tri-color boy, and the offer was made for me to co-own him, and so that is how Quinn came home to Ailea's Place.

Many hopes rested on this beautiful young man, as he trained for conformation and was simply allowed to grow up - training yes, but playing hard and loving - and living - well.

Quinn always had that exceptional "look at me" attitude, Copyright (c) Ailea's Place. All rights reserved.something that is easily seen in these pictures of him at 16 weeks. He was full of hope, this little boy, an important step toward the future plans of Ailea.

Quinn could not have been better put together, with lovely balance, outline and profile. His headpiece is to die for, literally cleaner than should be physically possible, and he possesses an exceptionally sweet eye. Quinn also possesses a loving, outgoing temperament which has proven itself at the shows by giving an unperturbed, exuberant, eternally happy, All rights reserved.non-stop showman. Quinn's antics in the ring quickly became legend, and his great disposition is easily evident in these grown-up photos of him.

Quinn entered serious training in the early weeks of 2005, when he was barely a year old, and quickly learned the ropes of standing and baiting. It did not take long to realize Quinn thoroughly enjoyed showing and has a grand time in the ring... Look, Ma, it's PLAY TIME!

All rights reserved.Quinn was sold to a breeder in Florida, where he was shown and quickly achieved his UKC championship. Before being retired as a very spoiled pet in this breeder's home he sired a couple of litters and has left a small legacy on which life might be built.

I do wish to thank Emerald Valley for so generously sharing Quinn with me, and especially want to thank Amatras Shetland Sheepdogs for seeing Quinn's promise, taking him in, falling in love, and so quickly and easily topping off that UKC championship.

Further thanks to Amatras for the photographs of Quinn as an adult.
