~ News & Updates ~
These pages last updated October 26, 2006

Ailea may no longer actively breed shelties, but Ailea remains a First Class Advocate for this most loving and beloved of breeds. If you are looking to acquire a sheltie, please do visit my Available page for information on anything Ailea may have, and for updates on other breeders who may Hannah-Bean, 19 monthshave shelties available in the central North Carolina or greater Raleigh area.

The picture at right is our most beautiful granddaughter, Hannah. Here she is about 19 months old and is playing with me and the camera. There is an entire series of these images, culminating in this, my favorite of the group. Additional photographs of Hannah may be found on Hannah's own page, as well as in the News archives, below-

NOTE: If you have acquired a sheltie from Ailea Shelties or Ailea's Place, please read Ailea's Open Letter.

New at Ailea's Place today, October 26, 2006:

Ailea has added another new facet to Ailea's Place. This time, I invite you to go with me on my meditative journey each day, which I will share with you. The link to my meditations will be located on Ailea's Home page, as well as included somewhere in the Site Map. I invite all who may be searching to lift their spirit, to walk with me in the sun as I strive to open my heart further to the blessings of Life. Let us journey together in my Meditations for the Day ~

AUGUST, 2006:
***As should certainly be clear to all, the format and layout of Ailea's Place has changed yet again. Since my focus has changed, I hope I will manage to create a format most comfortable for everyone's viewing, with easy access to all information from nearly all pages within the site. You will find a link to the Site Map at the bottom of each page, as well as a link to send me an e-mail message, for your comments, questions or concerns. I encourage everyone to please, feel free to drop me a note!
***One large thing of note to all is my copyright protection. Though these pages are copyright protected, I have removed the copy protect feature from all pedigrees displayed here, so any of you interested can easily copy or print pedigree information for yourselves as you wish. All other pages, images and files, however, will remain copy-protected. Thank-you for your understanding, respect and support of all my efforts and hard work!
***Not all of the links or areas of Ailea's Place in new format is complete. You may stumble upon pages in the old format, but I have tried, where the new format is not incorporated, to not activate links at all, so there is no cross-confusion between the new and the old Ailea's Place. If any cross-loading occurs, when the final page is newly formatted all these glitches will be fixed and all the old format of Ailea's Place pages gone, gone, gone, a thing of the past, dust in the wind. I seek your patience, as the re-building of these pages has not been an easy task this time, with such limited time to devote to the re-writes, research and new format(s). I am doing as much as I can as quickly as I can, and I hope to have the entire new format completed by the end of September. Please bear with me through this transition!

***You will find a truckload of new stuff tucked away inside the pages of Ailea's Place. I hope none of it alarms or concerns you, and that all of it manages to brighten your day just a little, a payback for your many visits here. Of particular note are Onyx's and Hannah's individual pages, but certainly, changes have been wrought throughout the entire site. I hope you enjoy visiting as much as I have enjoyed creating and putting this new format together for you!

JULY, 2006:
***In honor of Onnie's new litter, Ailea has a new Nursery Page!
***Onyx's puppies have arrived, whelping on June 17, 2006. Three beautiful puppies - two bitches and a dog! This litter is out of my Eli daughter, Onyx (Ailea Moonstone), sired by Wistwin Adonis, a son of CH Homewood Hurricane, ROM out of a Ch Macdega Asterisk daughter. The full pedigree can be found by visiting here. Links to pictures can be found by visiting Ailea's Nursery. WOO HOO, are WE ever excited!!! It is impossible for me to appropriately thank Liz Oliver of Jubilee Shelties for taking Onyx in and caring for her as she whelped and raised this awesome litter of puppies. It is expected Onyx will return home to Ailea's Place when the litter is about 6 weeks old, at the end of July, 2006.

We are thrilled to announce Onyx has been bred for a litter due to whelp sometime around June 15, 2006! We are expecting a tri-color litter of gorgeous, beautiful, precocious puppies to steal away our hearts! More information on the litter can be found by visiting Onyx's page, where you will also find a link to the litter pedigree. All serious inquiries welcomed and encouraged! Just contact Amy, thanks!

We are thrilled to announce (again) our girl, Token is placed. More information can be found by visiting Token's page.
Hannah Bean, 17 months***It is exciting to present another new picture of the granddaughter, Hannah, at right. Taken at 17 months of age, Hannah is playing "keep away" with her Dah's sunglasses - one of her favorite things to do (play "keep away"). Sometimes this little sprite is too much fun! Please ignore her bad case of "bed head" LOL
***
We are further thrilled to announce we now have an awesome accomplishment under our belts- Quinn, the unparalleled son of Onyx, is now UKC Ch Ailea Emeralds Reign, earning the title in one weekend of shows, including judging by two sheltie breeder judges (AKC) as well as a Best of Breed, Group One, and a serious consideration for BEST IN SHOW. HOORAY QUINN! Now if we can just get his coat to come in, he'll be in the AKC ring to show the whole world just how special he really is. All congrats should go to Angel Maria, Amatras, for her excellent ownership, training, handling, and presentation of this beautiful boy...

New picture of the grandbaby, Hannah, at left, taken when she was 16 months old- here she is playing in "her" cabinet in Mama Amy's kitchen - filled with plastic containers and lids, she dumps as much out as she needs to form herself a cleared area to sit on, climbs in, shuts the door and just does a dist-appearing act like magic! Ah, we love Hannah!
***Our girl, Token, is in need of her forever home! She is a mature adult, tri-color girl that, though she gets along well with others, would adore being the only dog. Families with small children should be well experienced with dogs, preferably with shelties in particular. More information on Token is readily available on her page - Token's Page, or visit our Available page!

Token has found her forever home, and we could not be happier! More info on Token may be found on
her page.
***Updates to the
Available page have been made. Sorry- Ailea has nothing available.
Hannah, 12 monthsA new photo of the granddaughter (right)- taken on the day of her first birthday party n September,'05. Ah, how sweet it truly is! I survived the very difficult month of September, and then the equally difficult month of October. We now are well into November with the holidays fast approaching- With no current plans to go north at Thanksgiving time as has been done in past year, it does seem as though one hurdle completed brings on a whole new mess of hurdles to work on- - -
