You are invited to enter Ailea's Place - a place where Shelties rule, and where the humans are trained with a gentle paw... Ailea's Place is a place where you can find inspiration, I hope, Life lessons, maybe, as well as lots of sheltie pictures and sheltie information - information about the breed, health and breeding, about Sheltie Rescue, and with lots of sheltie links, and maybe even a word or two to make you think about our pets and their place with us here.
Since I am no longer BREEDING shelties, I am hoping to offer the average web page viewer a unique outlook on sharing our lives with our dogs or pets in general, and on seeking a nice balance between the two. And I've full intent of sneaking in a surprise or two along the way, to hopefully brighten your smile.
Make your way through these pages by returning to the Site Map, a link to which may be found on every page you visit. Hopefully, you will not find yourself lost in Ailea's pages, but if you do and you can remember to do so, please drop me a note using my e-mail link which will also appear at the bottom of every page, and let me know how, or where, you found yourself lost.
I hope to make these pages as easy to read and navigate as possible; what good the information offered, if it is not legible, or cannot be found? This includes type font, size, and color as well as format, so if you find the font too small or hard to read, or are confused using the site map, just one complaint from you, the end-user, will find me changing the format to one more user-friendly. My goal here is to please YOU, my Ailea's Place visitors!

I wish to take a moment to send ex-special and mucho-many thanks to Sandy Walroth, Carawind Shelties & Aussies, for all the web work she did for me in the early years, as well as for the sheltie silhouette which has adorned Ailea's pages since their inception in 1997. Without Sandy's support and involvement, I may never have endeavored to create these pages in the first place.
I also wish to thank Michelle Pitts, Infinity Shelties, for creating the beautiful moonstone image that beautifies Onyx's Page. Both Michelle and Sandy have been the best, and these thanks seem very inadequate for the work they've so freely given.
