RanLyn's Rumor Has

"Rumor"

Oh, My Baby Rumor,
Your life was so short, but you made the
best of it, always a happy girl.
You looked so much like your
mother, Reba, RanLyn's One Honest Heart, I had a hard time telling
you apart at times.
You were my bed bug always
sleeping next to me. I miss you so.
You have your family in Heaven,
Leah, Rose, Reed, Reba and Hannah. Behave yourself or they will get
after you like they did here on earth.
The only pictures I have of you
are when you were young.
Until we meet again, take care,
Baby Girl.
Love,
Mom

| My Dear Rose,
You didn't have a very good start to
life. When I saw you for the first time you were just about a year
old. You had so many things to work through but you did it. You
managed to get over your fear of noises like the firelace crackling.
That was a huge victory in your life.
You were the first to sit on the couch
next to strangers when they came to visit. You were my foundation
girl. You gave me Lily, RanLyn Rejoice, and her sister Hannah,
RanLyn Romance, who just left April 25, 2009, to join you. Watch
after her as you always did.
Rest well, Sweet Rose
Love, Mom

| Dearest Emmy,
You were the love of my life. We had
many great times together just you and I. We will have more. Please
know that I miss you terribly and that you can never be replaced.
You were one of a kind. Our life will never be the same again. You
gave us so much joy and happiness during our 14 years together. Now
that you are out of pain, you can run and play.
Have fun with your brother, Barnie.
May God keep and keep you in His arms.
I love you, Emmygirl!

"Lassie"
1993 - February 6, 2009 |

Lassie at age 5, me at
age 9 |

|
Lassie was originally my
grandmother's dog. My grandmother got Lassie when she was around
a year old and we became best friends instantly. As a puppy she
was very hyper, fun loving and always a bundle of energy. She
loved running around the big backyard, around the swimming pool,
and chasing people's feet. As she got older she became more
reserved, mature and laid back. She was honestly the only dog I
ever trusted back then because I was weary of how dogs acted.
But Lassie restored my faith in dogs and showed me that dogs can
be trusted and very loving.
She still is
today the nicest dog I have ever met; she didn't have a bad bone
in her body. Lassie loved kisses and belly rubs and sneaking u p
on the couch when my Grandfather wasn't home. When she was
around 14 she started leaking urine and we could tell she wasn't
her usual fun self. Lassie also got hip problems and we had to
put her to sleep at the age of 16 when she lost a lot of her
eyesight and was walking into walls and getting stuck in-between
furniture.
She will always be
in my heart and my true first best friend.
Love, Rachel |

RanLyn's Fan Dancer
"Feather"
April 3, 1999 - May
2, 2009 |
|
|
|
It is with a broken heart that I
said good-bye to RanLyn's Fan Dancer "Feather" who was set free to
use her wings at 1:00 p.m. May 2, 2009.
Feather was the daughter of Hannah, who
I lost last Saturday. She was my little show girl, taking Best Of
Breed over Specials when she was 3 years old. She loved the show
ring and never let me down with her go-for-it attitude.
She was blind from an accident 6
years ago this Father's Day. That never stopped her from playing
ball with the rest of the dogs. We would give her a tennis ball and
away she would run around the yard, thinking she was the queen of
the group because she had possession of the ball. If she dropped it
she somehow found it again. When I moved furniture she would run
into it but she would remember the next time she came by. She knew
her way around and there were times when it was just her and me in
the house and she would want to play. She would start running around
the house and to my amazement wouldn't run into anything. I would be
sitting on the sofa and she would race at me and jump, landing next
to me just so pleased with herself.
She was my special little girl.
Take care of your mom. I miss you
both so much.
Love,
Mom

Seminole Dreams Of Fame
"Pepper"
February 3, 1995 - November 23, 2008
Pepper joined our family shortly
after we learned that Laddie,
one of our first shelties, had
cancer. We did not want his
sister to mourn him extensively,
so we sought out another sheltie
to keep her company. And so,
Pepper was a very bright spot in
our lives, even through the
deaths of Laddie and Lassie. She
even accepted Ginger, a sheltie
rescued from the pound, into her
home. She was a tough little
dog. She rarely showed her age
when walking because she would
always take the lead. If there
was a squirrel in front of her,
it was best to get out of her
way. When afflicted with a
benign oral growth, she survived
the loss of part of her jaw with
little trouble. Despite being
almost fourteen, she was still
very proud. But, sadly, she
suffered from a gastric torsion
last fall. Quickly going into
shock, my family knew that it
was unlikely she could survive
any surgery. It was kinder to
let her go. Part of me will
always regret that I could not
hold her as I held Lad and
Lass. We all miss her very much.
Ginger seemed to take her loss
well, but my family decided to
look for another sheltie. So,
hailing from the same place as
Pepper, Sabrina has joined the
family.
It still hurts to be without
Pepper, even after all these
months. But, at least she can
now chase squirrels and rabbits
with Laddie and Lassie, whole
and without any pain.
You will be forever missed by us
all.
"You may be gone, and we will
move on, but we will always
remember you."
